Abstract

The leading concept of Serbian foreign policy in the current geopolitical and geostrategic situation is the concept of neutrality. Serbia's foreign policy oscillates between two different and mutually exclusive geopolitical concepts: Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian. In this article, the author analyzes whether this policy concept is feasible in the long term, or whether Serbia will have to comply with one of the geopolitical options. In this article, the author analyzes the geopolitical significance of cooperation between Russia and Serbia. Serbia is of great importance for Russia not only because of common cultural, spiritual and historical ties, but also because the Republic of Serbia occupies an important geopolitical position. Serbia has become an important partner that can become a bridge between the endless conflict between East and West. On the other hand, Russia has always been an important ally of Serbia. Serbia can always count on Russia when it comes to important issues concerning the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia. This support is especially important in the process of international integration of the Republic of Serbia.
